A temple is a structure designed for religious or spiritual activities, such as prayer and sacrifice, or the housing of gods or other religious artifacts. Temples can be found in many different cultures and religions and they can vary greatly in architectural style and construction materials. They are often considered sacred spaces and are used for rituals, ceremonies and other religious practices. They can be used for many other purposes like education, administration and art.

What does EMME's Temple smell like?

Our Temple scent is one of our signature scents- it's deep, rich, and complex. The smokey tones of incense give way to light floral notes, helping to balance its bold scent. Perfect for triggering memories of family trips to the temple, lighting incense for your altar at home, or just indulging in an luxurious, meditative fragrance.

If you're a fan of wood wick candles, you know that they can bring a cozy, warm atmosphere to any room. But in order to get the most out of your wood wick candle, it's important to properly care for it. Here are a few tips for keeping your wood wick candle burning bright:

-Trim the wick: Before lighting your wood wick candle, be sure to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This will help prevent the flame from becoming too large and will ensure that your candle burns evenly.

-Burn for at least an hour: The first time you light your wood wick candle, be sure to burn it for at least an hour. This will allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar, which will prevent tunnelling (when the wax only melts down the center of the candle).

-Keep the wax pool clear: As your wood wick candle burns, be sure to keep the wax pool clear of any debris, such as wick trimmings or matches. This will help the candle burn smoothly and will prevent the flame from becoming obstructed.

-Don't burn for too long: While it's important to burn your wood wick candle for at least an hour at a time, you don't want to burn it for too long. A good rule of thumb is to burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. This will help prevent the wax from overheating and will extend the life of your candle.

-Store properly: When you're not using your wood wick candle, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place. This will help prevent the wax from melting and will keep your candle in good condition.

By following these tips, you can enjoy your wood wick candle for longer and create a warm, inviting atmosphere in your home. Happy candle burning!

Staple Home Smell

This is the second Temple candle I've gotten and I love it so much. This one's a bit of a smaller size than my original but it also means the burn is more even - previously I needed to give the candle a little aluminum foil wrap around so that it'd burn all the wax (a tip for those of you who are having that problem!). The smell is amazing and cozy on its own and then you've got the wood wick sounds it's just perfect... let me go light this again right now actually...

One of my favorite candles to meditate. It transported me to my trip to Thailand in 2015.

Smells like home

Since moving away from my hometown, I've really missed the smell of the incense my temple and grandmother burn. I quickly discovered that finding the incense they burned was both difficult and costly, as no local vendors sold them, which meant blind buying. I did end up taking the plunge and blind buying this candle, (I figured even if it wasn't perfect, the candle was pretty), and was shocked by how accurate the scent is.
I keep this candle in my bedroom, and even when it's not lit, my room smells lovely, and so much like home.
