What is Matcha?

Matcha is a type of finely ground, high-quality green tea that is native to Japan. It is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, which are shade-grown and then ground into a fine powder using traditional stone grinding methods. Matcha has a long and storied history in Japan, where it has been a staple in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony for centuries.

Matcha is believed to have originated in China during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), where it was used by Zen Buddhists as a tool for meditation. The tea was later introduced to Japan by Buddhist monks in the 12th century and quickly became a central part of Japanese culture and tradition. In Japan, matcha is traditionally prepared by whisking the powdered tea with hot water using a bamboo whisk, and is often served in small bowls with traditional Japanese sweets.

Today, matcha is enjoyed around the world for its distinctive flavor and numerous health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, amino acids, and other nutrients, and is believed to have a number of health benefits, including improving concentration, aiding in weight loss, and boosting the immune system.



What does EMME's Matcha smell like?

Our Matcha fragrance is the perfect balance of sweet and earthy, and formulated for creating the perfect atmosphere in any space. The top notes of this fragrance are a rich and creamy blend of honey and cream, creating a warm and inviting aroma. The heart of the fragrance is a blend of matcha green tea, which adds earthiness and balance to the fragrance as a whole. Reminiscent of the perfect matcha latte!

Wax melts are aromatic pieces of wax that don't require an open flame or wick. Use with a hot plate or electric burner for up to 80 hours of your favorite authentic Asian smells!

Instructions: Do not add water. Do not melt on stovetop or in non-approved appliances. Use only in well ventilated areas away from flammable objects. Discontinue use if dish contains less than 1/2" of wax.

Warning: To prevent fire or injury: remove packaging before use. Use only in tea-light warmers or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Read and follow all instructions provided with your warmer before use. Do not leave melter unattended while in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
