What is Honey Jasmine?

Jasmine is a type of flowering plant that is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Old World (primarily in Asia). It is a member of the olive family and is known for its delicate and fragrant flowers, which are often used to produce perfumes and essential oils. Jasmine plants are vines or shrubs that can grow to be quite large, with dark glossy leaves and small white or yellow flowers. The flowers of the jasmine plant are highly prized for their sweet, exotic scent and are often used in aromatherapy and traditional medicine. There are many different species of jasmine, each with its own unique characteristics and uses. Jasmine is also a popular choice for use in gardens and landscaping, as it is relatively easy to grow and adds a touch of elegance and fragrance to any outdoor space.

Jasmine tea is a type of tea that is made from green tea leaves scented with the aroma of jasmine flowers. It is a popular beverage in many parts of Asia, particularly in China, where it has a long and storied history.

Jasmine tea is believed to have originated in the Fujian province of China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), when tea merchants began adding jasmine flowers to their teas in order to improve the flavor and aroma. The tea quickly became popular and began to spread throughout China and beyond. Today, jasmine tea is enjoyed in many parts of Asia and around the world, and is considered to be a symbol of culture and tradition in China.

In the production of jasmine tea, green tea leaves are mixed with jasmine flowers and left to soak in the flowers' fragrance for several hours or days. The tea is then dried and the jasmine flowers are removed, leaving a delicate and aromatic tea. Jasmine tea is known for its refreshing and floral flavor, and is often enjoyed as a way to relax and unwind. It is also believed to have a number of health benefits, including aiding in digestion and helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Candle care is crucial for maintaining the quality and longevity of your favorite candles, whether they have cotton or wood wicks. Here's how to ensure you get the most out of your candle experience:

For Cotton Wicks:

Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the cotton wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoking and soot buildup. A trimmed wick ensures a cleaner burn and minimizes the risk of uneven flames.

Avoid Tunneling: During the first burn, allow the candle to melt across the entire surface to prevent tunneling, where wax accumulates around the wick, leaving wax along the edges. This promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Burn Time: Limit each burn session to 3-4 hours to prevent overheating and extend the lifespan of your candle. Extinguish the flame when it reaches the recommended time and allow the candle to cool before relighting.

Avoid Drafts: Keep the candle away from drafts or breezy areas to ensure an even burn and prevent flickering or uneven melting.

Extinguish Safely: Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle instead of blowing on it, which can cause wax splatter or smoke.

For Wood Wicks:

Trim the Wick: Wood wicks typically don't require trimming like cotton wicks. However, ensure that the wick is no longer than 1/4 inch before lighting to prevent excessive flickering and uneven burning.

First Burn: Allow the candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edge of the container to prevent tunneling and ensure an even burn in subsequent uses.

Burn Time: Similar to cotton wicks, limit each burn session to 3-4 hours to prevent overheating and maintain the integrity of the wood wick.

Mind the Ash: After extinguishing the flame, if there's any ash buildup on the wood wick, gently break it off before relighting to ensure a clean burn.

Safety First: Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from flammable materials. Monitor the candle while it's burning, especially if it's a wood-wicked candle, as the flame may be larger and more visible.

By following these simple tips, you'll maximize the enjoyment of your candles, whether they feature cotton or wood wicks, while ensuring safety and longevity.

so sleek and chic! The black jar fits in with my home decor perfectly, and the crackling wick adds another layer of ambience to my space. Love it!

the jasmine is so strong

I hate it when a candle uses an ingredient in its name, but it smells nothing like that. This definitely isn't an issue here- I can really smell the rich floral jasmine, as well as the amber they had listed as one of the major notes. Smells great, would definitely order again

had such a great experience with EMME! My order was shipped out the same day, and it arrived in less than 2 days. My honey jasmine candle was easily my favorite even though I bought so many- I can't wait to see what their other scents are like!

best floral

I've tried a lot of their floral scents, and I keep coming back to this one! It's honestly so unique and delicious smelling, without being powdery the way some rose or other floral candles can be. Definitely recommend trying this one if you love floral scents!

honey jasmine is the best one!

I've been a big fan of the company since the very beginning when they launched this smell- it's as good today as it was then! It's floral without being too light and airy like a lot of other floral scents- it still smells rich and lucious. Highly reccomend!
